Congratulations on your decision to explore the exciting possibility of small business ownership. While you may find the process to be somewhat overwhelming, if you plan properly, the rewards can prove plentiful.

Whether you've arrived here because you are unsure what kind of business to start, if you're wondering if small business ownership is for you, curious if you have a viable product or service, how to get started, or even if you should start a business at all, this is a great first step.

About The Program

  • The Business Basics program is a series of three, 2-hour sessions, held weekly at the Gwinnett Entrepreneur Center.
  • Sessions will be conducted in the evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
  • Each cohort will have a maximum of 20 participants.
  • An additional time commitment of approximately one-two hours per week can be expected in order to complete tasks and action items to further the program objectives and their business.
  • Participants who complete this program should move directly into the Start in Gwinnett program.
  • No cost to participate.
  • To provide the most value, this course is provided in person only.

  • You are thinking about starting a business and not sure how
  • You want to own a business but you are not sure how to leverage your skills
  • You want to understand what it takes to own your own business
